City of Grand Rapids announces traffic updates surrounding Studio Park project

With the City of Grand Rapids’ recent announcement regarding changes to downtown streets due to the construction of the new Studio Park project, SMG staff at Van Andel Arena are working closely with the City on plans to accommodate patrons attending events.

“We’re confident we’ll be able to work through the construction process in conjunction with the City to offer alternate routes and adequate event parking options for patrons attending Van Andel Arena events,” said Richard MacKeigan, SMG Regional General Manager for Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place. “We’re excited to be a part of the continued growth of downtown and the city of Grand Rapids as a whole.”

Details of the City’s announcement, which includes seven phases of changes to the streets surrounding the Studio Park project area, can be found on the City of Grand Rapids website.

SMG staff at Van Andel Arena are pleased to continue to be able to offer a full schedule of events to the West Michigan community and beyond, including major headliners just recently announced: Brad Paisley (April 7), Daryl Hall & John Oates and Train (July 15), Kevin Hart (July 22), Fall Out Boy (September 6) and Elton John (October 15).
