ASM Global has named Marcus Scott as the Director of Ticketing Operations. Effective July 1, 2024, Scott’s new role reflects expanded responsibilities in overseeing the box offices for the ASM Global Grand Rapids venues, including Van Andel Arena ®, DeVos Place ®, and DeVos Performance Hall.
Scott began his career with ASM Global Grand Rapids (formerly SMG) in 1997 as a Marketing Intern. He became a full-time employee in 1999 when he was hired as an Event Coordinator for Van Andel Arena, a position he held until 2004, when he was named Box Office Manager for Van Andel Arena, DeVos Performance Hall and DeVos Place. After serving in that role for 17 years, he became Senior Box Office Manager in 2021.
“In my role with the venues, I appreciate being able to play a part in the management of an event that culminates with our patrons enjoying their experiences and making lifelong memories," says Scott. “I also enjoy the opportunity to mentor young talent within the industry.”
