For the tenth time in tour history, the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will buck back into Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for Tractor Supply Co PBR Grand Rapids January 24-25.
For two nights only, some of the best bull riders in the world will duel with some of the rankest bovine competitors bred to buck in a must-see showdown that is only coming to town once in 2025.
Last year, Cody McCandless (Derry, Pennsylvania) was the only rider to go a perfect 3-for-3 to win his first PBR event title.
The Pennsylvania cowboy entered the final night of competition ranked eighth after riding Little Hornet (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) for 78.5 points in Round 1.
McCandless sat tall atop Rip VanWinkle (J Bar W) for 82.5 points in Round 2 to punch his ticket to the championship round where the 21-year-old rocketed out of the gate on Muss Buss (C-B Bucking Bulls) for 85.5 points to move to the top of the podium.
The Grand Rapids Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour stop is the eighth event of the season. In 2024, the Velocity Tour hosted more than 356,000 fans, setting 16 event attendance records, while selling out 20 event days.
The bull riding action for 2025 Tractor Supply Co PBR Grand Rapids begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday, January 24, and 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 25 at Van Andel Arena.
Forty (40) bull riders will get on one bull in Round 1. Round 2 on Saturday evening will feature the Top 36 riders from Round 1; the riders’ individual two-round scores will then be totaled, with the Top 10 advancing to the championship round for one more out and a chance at the event title.
Tickets for the two-day event are available on Ticketmaster on Thursday, October 10, at 10:00 a.m. ET and start at $15, taxes and fees not included.
